Nice to meet you! My name is Jorge Gonzalez, and I am your Sales Ops Coach. My sales journey began on the ground floor, selling generators to customers across the Americas. It was more than just closing deals; it was about understanding customer needs, solving problems, and building relationships.

That experience taught me the core of sales: connecting with people and delivering value.

Since then, my career has been a wild ride of global adventures, spanning countries, industries, and transformative projects.

From living abroad to leading sales operations for diverse product lines and services, I’ve embraced the world as my workspace. Whether working with OEMs, rolling out digital solutions, or driving sales strategy, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with customers and teams across the globe to create meaningful impact.

A Global Leader in Sales Operations

As a Global Sales Operations Manager, I’ve led initiatives that empower sales teams to succeed by equipping them with the tools, strategies, and insights they need to thrive in today’s competitive landscape. I’ve built strategies that align global priorities, enhanced sales training programs to ensure consistency and excellence, and deployed cutting-edge tools like Salesforce and Seismic to boost efficiency and productivity.

Beyond tools and training, I’ve taken a deep dive into the systems that underpin sales success. I’ve analyzed sales performance and compensation systems, ensuring they drive the right behaviors and align with business goals. Leading vendor evaluation RFPs, I’ve worked with cross-functional teams to select the best solutions to meet our needs.One of my proudest accomplishments is spearheading the transformation of our sales enablement platform, which resulted in a 25% increase in customer engagement—clear proof that the right tools and strategies can drive measurable impact.

I’ve also developed and deployed a comprehensive strategy to measure our sales team’s productivity. This involved conducting a detailed time study to identify areas of improvement and implementing targeted changes that drove efficiency. To ensure alignment and accountability, I introduced performance metrics (KPIs) training across all levels of the sales hierarchy and deployed intuitive performance dashboards that provide actionable insights to managers and leaders.

Looking ahead, I’ve been actively involved in shaping the strategy for the future sales organization, focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence to solve the most pressing sales challenges. By integrating AI into our processes, I’m working to redefine how sales teams operate, making them more agile, informed, and productive in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

Education

My strong foundation in engineering and business fuels my innovative approach to sales.

Born and raised in Mexico, I earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, one of the top engineering universities in the country.

I later pursued a Master of Science at Rice University in Houston, TX—while academia wasn’t my thing, it gave me the knowledge to learn from data and research, a skill that has been instrumental in developing solutions for the ever-changing world of sales.

I then completed my MBA at Thunderbird School of Global Management, which sharpened my global perspective, enhanced my ability to thrive in international markets, and deepened my understanding of the importance of relationships.
